Thailand lays keel for country’s fourth, fifth M36-class patrol boats


Shipbuilder Marsun has laid down the fourth and fifth M36-class patrol vessels on order for the Royal Thai Navy (RTN). The vessels, which will bear pennant numbers 114 and 115 respectively, were laid down on 8 June at the company’s facilities in Samut Prakan. The RTN currently operates a fleet of three M36 patrol vessels. The class has overall length of 36 m, an overall beam of 7.6 m, and a hull draught of 1.7 m.
